The responsibilities of the Independent Department of Clinical Nutrition are:
It provides nutritional support to patients, whether they are hospitalized or regularly visit outpatient clinics, with free or special dietary treatment, information and education, as well as combating malnutrition and malnutrition, that is, problems resulting from obesity or from insufficient quantitative or qualitative nutritional support.
This Department may undertake, in collaboration with the 6th Ministry of Health or the Ministry of Health, the information and education of the population within the framework of primary health care, with the aim of protecting and promoting health. It also exercises any other competence provided for in article 134 of Law 4052/2012.
