Head of the Independent Department of Organization and Informatics is Mr. Pehlivanis Konstantinos

The responsibilities of the Independent Department of Organization & Informatics are:
  1. Handling all organizational issues of the Hospital Services.
  2. The study, suggestion and monitoring of the implementation of measures for the simplification of bureaucratic forms and procedures and the elimination of unnecessary formalities, in collaboration with the relevant Hospital Services, as well as the implementation of a management system with objectives and measurement of efficiency, in collaboration with the independent Department of Quality Control, Research and Continuing Education.
  3. The installation of each new IT application and its start-up.
  4. The management of each application from a systematic and operational perspective.
  5. The training of the Hospital staff in IT systems and the effective exploitation of IT systems.
  6. The continuous monitoring of new technologies and the evaluation of the possibility of their utilization by the Hospital.
  7. The periodic and annual operating reports.
  8. The management and operation of IT equipment, the optimization of the utilization of the equipment in relation to the applications that operate in each part of the equipment.
  9. The installation and maintenance of a local or wider computer network.
  10. The management of user access to the network.
  11. The management of communication between the internal network and external networks.
  12. The protection of the network and the optimization of network resources (disks, etc.).
  13. The management of network performance and the design of its expansion.
  14. The preparation of studies and technical specifications for the supply of IT equipment (PC, S/W, SYSTEM S/W, etc.).
  15. Develops limited-scale applications for:
    a. The expansion of the functionality of the network and the subsystems of the medical and administrative service,
    b. The adaptation of special software packages for limited-scale applications,
    c. Monitoring the indicators of the medical-nursing and administrative-financial operation of the Hospital,
    d. Access to the Internet.
  16. Prepares the Strategic Information Technology Plan, based on the general strategic goals of the Hospital, as well as its more specific operational needs.
  17. Monitors the implementation of the Strategic Plan and is informed about the progress of the IT projects, any problems or delays or even any deviations from the initially planned project budget.
  18. Submits and accepts proposals to and from the competent Departments for the preparation of studies and monitoring of the procedures related to the installation of new IT systems.
  19. Is responsible for receiving and generally collecting information from the various subsystems of the Hospital for the administration and medical service.
